Facilities
The Family Resiliency Center is located in Doris Kelley Christopher Hall, 904 W. Nevada Street, Urbana, Illinois, and also serves as a home to the Department of Human and Community Development at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The primary goals of the facility are to support the Center's goals of bringing together faculty, supporting innovative research, providing academic and learning environments, and creating an opportunity for public engagement. The building was designed by architects at Booth Hansen, Chicago, to provide as much flexibility as possible in the use of space and furnishings and to anticipate advancements in telecommunication and instructional technologies.

Staffed by undergraduate and graduate student interns, visitors to the Resource Center will find a host of educational materials, including information from local programs serving children and families. The Center hosts workshops, lectures, special events and programs.
Research Space
Five large research spaces on the Upper Level have been designed to support multi-investigator projects. Each research space provides three to five work stations, meeting space, and data/document storage systems. The first two projects to occupy these areas are the Parenting Project, coordinated by Professor Joseph Pleck; the Youth Development Project, coordinated by Professors Reed Larson and Robin Jarrett; and the STRONG Kids Project, an inter-disciplinary project.
Meeting Space
The Studio (1009) is a multipurpose meeting space that has full audiovisual and assistive listening capability and serves as an instructional, seminar, and conference space. It houses a portable videoconferencing system and has been equipped with special room darkening shades and portable lighting and video cameras.
Classrooms
Three classrooms are located in the LOWER LEVEL of Christopher Hall. In addition to supporting Center activities, the classrooms are used by the Department of Human and Community Development. All three classrooms have full audiovisual capability and internet access. The large classroom also has an assistive listening service.
